Terms of Service

Effective: March 30, 2026

Article 1. Purpose and Scope

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of code-fix.dev ("Service") operated by CodeGrove Co., Ltd. ("Company"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. The Service is available only to users aged 14 or older. By clicking "Agree" or using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to all provisions of these Terms.

Article 2. Definitions

"Member" means any individual or legal entity that has agreed to these Terms and registered an account with the Company. "Service" means the AI-powered code analysis, narrative generation, and code review platform provided by the Company. "Content" means all data, results, reports, and materials generated through the Service. "Repository" means a code repository on GitHub or other version control systems accessed via the Service.

Article 3. Membership and Service Use

Membership registration is completed upon agreement to these Terms and completion of the registration procedure. The Company may refuse or revoke registration if: (1) a false name or another person's information is used, (2) required information is omitted or falsely provided, or (3) registration would violate applicable law or these Terms. Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials. Members must promptly notify the Company of any unauthorized use of their account. The Company is not liable for damages arising from a Member's failure to maintain account security.

Article 4. GitHub Integration and Code Access

The Service requests read-only OAuth access to your GitHub repositories (scope: repo read, read:user). The Company does not request write, delete, or administrative permissions. You may revoke GitHub access at any time from your GitHub account settings. By connecting your repository, you represent and warrant that you have the legal right to authorize analysis of the code contained therein. Source code is processed in isolated containers and permanently deleted upon analysis completion (maximum retention: 1 hour). Analysis results (narratives, scores, issues) may be retained for service provision purposes.

Article 5. Prohibited Activities

Members must not: (1) provide false information during registration or service use; (2) reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of the Company's intellectual property without authorization; (3) interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers; (4) use the Service to analyze code without proper authorization from the code owner; (5) transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code; (6) use automated tools to access the Service in a manner that exceeds normal usage; (7) use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (8) engage in any other conduct that the Company reasonably determines to be harmful. Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund.

Article 6. Analysis Results and Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service, including AI models, analysis algorithms, and platform design, are owned by the Company or its licensors. Analysis results generated from your code are provided to you for your use. You retain all ownership rights in your source code. The Company claims no ownership over your code or analysis results. You grant the Company a limited license to process your code solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

Article 7. Service Modification and Suspension

The Company may modify, suspend, or terminate the Service at any time, in whole or in part. For non-emergency changes, the Company will provide at least 7 days advance notice via the Service website or registered email. The Company is not liable for damages arising from service modifications, suspensions, or terminations that occur despite reasonable notice. During the closed beta period, service terms and features may change without prior notice.

Article 8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company disclaims all warranties, express or implied. The Company's analysis results are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional legal, security, or technical advice. The Company is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. In no event will the Company's total liability exceed the amounts paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Article 9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the Company's principal place of business as the court of first instance. If you are located outside Korea, mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction may also apply.

Article 10. Amendments

The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified at least 7 days before taking effect via the Service website or registered email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms. If you do not agree to the amended Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service. Current version of the Terms is always available at code-fix.dev/terms.

Article 11. Paid Services and Refund Policy

① Pricing and plan details are published on the pricing page at https://code-fix.dev/en/pricing. The Company may update pricing with prior notice. ② Subscription Billing - Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly recurring basis. - Billing occurs automatically on the same date each month as the initial subscription date. - Members may cancel their subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which automatic renewal ceases. ③ Refund Policy - Before service use begins: A full refund may be requested within 7 days of payment, in accordance with the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (Article 17). Members outside Korea may request a refund under the same 7-day window. - After service use begins: Due to the nature of digital content, refunds are generally not available once service use has commenced (e.g., once an analysis result has been generated). However, if the service is unavailable due to a fault attributable to the Company, a pro-rata refund for the unused period will be issued. - Mid-period cancellation: Cancelling an active monthly subscription does not entitle the member to a partial refund for the remaining days of the billing period. ④ How to Request a Refund To request a refund, please contact support@code-fix.dev with your registered email address, payment date, and payment amount. Requests are processed within 3 business days. ⑤ Refund processing times vary by payment method and may take 3–5 business days to reflect depending on your card issuer or payment provider. ⑥ If a minor has completed a payment without the consent of a legal guardian, the legal guardian may cancel the transaction.
